We are terribly sad to tell you that Jeff passed away yesterday, July 4th, 2013. His condition changed rapidly beginning on the evening of July 3rd. He was at home, surrounded by his wife Colleen and their three kids, as he left this world for the next. Thank you all for the support and prayers. We will post details of arrangements once they are made.

What a beautiful gift the last 3 weeks have been for you all. I don’t think Jeff would have changed a single thing. God blessed you with a wonderful dad who lived his life with love, humor and integrity.
A life well loved is a life well lived…Jeff lived life to the fullest and was definitely well loved by all. May his family and friends find solace in the many, many wonderful memories of such a great man.
So sorry to hear the news, we shared Jeff’s story yesterday with our life long friends.
And the wonderful things they had to say about a family they never met made us realize even more how lucky we were to have you a part of our lives too. We know Jeff’s spirit will always be with all of us and we will never go to another Reds game without thinking of him!! All of our love to all of you xooxo

Jeff was one of the best men to influence my life. So honest, genuine, and loved by all. We will miss him terribly, but look forward to seeing him again. R.I.P.
Some of my best childhood memories were with Jeff and playing with John. Jeff always made time time to play with us. What an awesome man he was.
Dearest Collen and family, our hearts are broken as we grieve the loss of Jeff. Thank you for allowing all of us to share your joy and pain over the past month through the writngs and photos. There are no words that can take away the grief, but I can’t help but be touched by the obvious love of family and friends, and the knowledge of how Jeff touched so many lives so deeply. I am so sorry for your loss. Jeff was a great man, wonderful husband and father and will be sorely missed. My heart breaks for you all.
Colleen, and family, We are so sad for all of you. Jeff was such a great father and husband and loved you all so much. I remember seeing him at your wedding and how happy he was, at the library taking the kids to storytime as toddlers, going to all the events at Stingley, Tower Heights, and the high school, and watching the kids in all their sports. He was always so proud of all of you. He was always a friend to Mike and I, way back to the old North Riverdale neighborhood days, and we knew he would be there if we needed him. We admired his attitude to life, and his devotion to his family, and will miss him!
Some of the best times in my life were with Jeff. His friendship meant a lot and I am saddened at his passing. I will cherish shared moments on this softball field, the basketball court, the church gatherings, a Florida vacation, evenings with him and Colleen, and not the least of times, the hours spent as Euchre adversaries. His laugh was contagious and his character an example. See ya, Jeff! I have missed you and will continue to do so.

Awe Janey, and family… My heart is so joyful but broken for you. I’m so glad God provided in such a big way to allow you to spend an incredible last few weeks with Jeff. What a tremendous blessing and peace you must have. He was a great man and father and I am lifting you all in prayers. 🙂 love you.
So incredibly sad to hear about Jeff leaving us so quickly, but so happy that he got to spend the last three weeks visiting with so many old friends and family, and most of all going on some incredible last adventures with his loving family. He was truly loved by all that knew him…..

Dear Colleen and family, Steve and I are heartbroken to hear of Jeff’s passing. He was a genuinely kind man who loved his family and served others with such care. It has been many years since we lived in Centerville, but our memories of Jeff’s early days of fatherhood and how fully he loved being a dad are still strong. We so wanted to see him again, but we know that he will be part of heaven’s welcome committee for us. May the Comforter be your comfort!

The football picture was touching. This is how I first remember Jeff. I went to Colonel White summer football workouts just for fun. He was a sophomore and I a junior (at Chaminade). I was 16, he was only 15. I found him to be an open and engaging person even at that age. We had some good adventures around our shared interest in motorcycles, and mutual friends. I was glad to be able to see him one last time at Kramer’s.
