Thank you to Jane and Abby in particular for getting this blog up and running – Jeff and I have been in agreement – our kids are awesome. Jeff is on big doses of steroids to reduce swelling around the tumor that have allowed him to regain his strength and alertness – have been enjoying each day to the max – wanted to pass on that one of Abby’s good friends contacted another mutual friend that knows Joey Votto (All Star Reds player for those not in the know). She called Joey to see if there was something he could do for “Mr. Crews” (thinking a jersey or something) –when he heard Jeff’s story he said he’d call her back – and did – with his tickets for the July 2nd game – on field passes for batting practice with the players before the game and who knows what else-we are all psyched and we’re hoping Jeff can bring them some luck against the Giants.
Looking at the list of names in this blog I know you’re praying for Jeff – thank you and know that we have been grateful recipients of many blessings.
Jeff’s good friend sent this as soon as he heard Jeff was sick-it has been our hope:
“Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid…for the Lord thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.” Deuteronomy 31:6
Please continue to pray- and, speaking of Giants, we believe what David said to Goliath, “The battle is the Lord’s”
